Pakistan-China B2B Meet Secures $8.5B in Agreements

The 2nd Pakistan-China B2B Investment Conference, which took place in Beijing on the 4th of September 2025, was concluded with groundbreaking results. The event was organized by the Embassy of Pakistan in cooperation with consulates of Chengdu, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Shanghai, and the result was agreements and MoUs valued at an astonishing USD 8.5 billion.

Landmark Outcomes

The Conference produced between 2,500 and 3,000 mediated business-to-business meetings in 9 sectors and 40 sub-sectors in a single day. These relations led to 21 Joint Venture Agreements worth USD 1.5 billion and more than 100 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth USD 7.000. The results highlight the potential of formalized B2B interaction between China and Pakistan to be enormous.

Government Support and Leadership

The event was attributed to the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and the proactive involvement of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), Board of Investment, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Industries Production, and provincial governments. Their cooperation contributed to the successful course of actions and effective involvement of the business circles of the two countries.

Prime Minister’s Remarks

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was present at the opening and closing of the Conference. During his keynote speech, he reiterated that Pakistan had a special strategic relationship with China and acclaimed the impressive economic performance of the country. He highlighted the willingness of Pakistan to tap more bilateral trade and investment potentials, and assured Chinese partners of total facilitation, security, and follow-up on signed agreements.

Long-term Planning and Projecting

Following the success of the first edition in Shenzhen, the scale and preparation of this year’s Conference were a success. To facilitate correct matchmaking, organizers designed pitch books and information notes specific to the sector and provided online orientations. Also, feedback systems were implemented to evaluate the success of the event and serve in the further projects.

The 2nd Pakistan-China B2B Conference was a success such that besides providing USD 8.5 billion in terms of business, it also provided a new standard in bilateral economic cooperation.
