Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced a new welfare package for police officers, introducing residential plots, international scholarships and professional development schemes. The incentives are aimed at recognising the services of police personnel and supporting their long-term well-being.
Naqvi made the announcements during a visit to the National Police Foundation (NPF) headquarters in Islamabad, where he chaired a high-level meeting attended by senior officials. During the briefing, the NPF team updated the minister on the organisation’s performance, ongoing projects and the status of welfare initiatives for serving and retired officers.
The minister stated that the federal government is planning to empower the National Police Foundation to enable it consistently offer superior housing, education and training centers to the police officers and their families.
Residential Plots on Easy Instalments for ASP Trainees
Among the announcements made was the one connected with the housing support of the young officers. Mohsin Naqvi affirmed that residential plots will be provided to trainee Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP) of the National Police Academy on convenient instalments on an annual basis. This is aimed at assisting new recruits to find permanent accommodation at the onset of their career life.
