Strong winds accompanied by thunderstorms can scatter trees, cause walls to collapse, power poles and lines to fall, and disable some equipment at shelter settings, the NDMA’s National Emergencies Operation Centre (NEOC) said in an advisory. Dust storms are a particular hazard to rooftops, electrical installations, and vehicles, leading to the possibility of road accidents in hit areas.

The NDMA is closely liaising with the provincial governments and the rescue operation teams to oversee the situation and for the latest updates. Before traveling, the authority has advised citizens to consult the “Pak NDMA Alert App” for weather warnings and safety guidelines.
The advisory is part of NDMA’s disaster preparedness, early warning, and community involvement efforts to save human lives and reduce the risk of damage. Officials urge people to pay attention to safety instructions and to stay inside if and when they can until the weather passes.
