The introduction of an electric cart service called City Tour into Kashmir Point has been another step in Murree’s transformation into a modern tourist centre. The project is being headed by the Punjab Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC), in line with the recommendations of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to accelerate the development of the tourism sector in the hill station.

Electric cart service is a service launched by PTDC Managing Director Asim Raza, providing tourists with an eco-friendly and sustainable means to tour Murree. The carts are also designed to be comfortable and have a minimal environmental impact, thereby preserving the natural beauty of the popular hill station.
Upcoming Tourism Projects
There are also several large tourism projects in Murree that complement the electric cart service. These include:

Restoration of Historic Mall Road
Previously, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced a 550 million rupee reconstruction project for the old Mall Road in Murree, a landmark that is over 160 years old. The Walled City Authority Lahore will implement the project in collaboration with the experts and the local government. The project will restore the traditional appeal of Murree and transform it into a major tourist destination upon completion.

Her message focused on changing Murree into a global tourism centre, which was highlighted by the Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz. She promised that no one would compromise on the quality of work, and that the historic beauty of Murree would be reinstated in a year.
