Islamabad Traffic Police Expands Public Access
The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has announced that mobile facilitation vans will operate across the federal capital from October 20 to October 27, 2025. The initiative is aimed at improving accessibility to police and licensing services, reducing congestion at ITP offices, and providing citizens with faster service at convenient public locations. Officials stated that the vans will operate daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Range of Services Offered
The ITP’s facilitation vans will provide a comprehensive range of services to citizens, including the issuance of learner permits, renewal of driving licenses, and provision of FIR copies and character certificates. Additionally, residents will be able to register tenant and domestic worker details, report lost items, and complete police verification. The vans will also cater to foreign nationals requiring registration or complaint management assistance.
Weekly Schedule and Locations
The mobile facilitation vans will cover key sectors, markets, and residential areas across Islamabad throughout the week. From Monday to Sunday, the vans will visit high-traffic areas such as District Courts G-11, F-9 Park, Blue Area, Faisal Masjid, and Park Enclave. Multiple vans will operate simultaneously to maximize outreach — with designated vehicles including IDP 1387, GAG 709, GAC 656, and GD-896 assigned to various zones. Citizens can check daily locations through official ITP channels or the ITP helpline for updates.
