ITP announces weekly schedule of mobile facilitation vans from Sept 29 to Oct 5, 2025, offering driving license and traffic services across Islamabad.
Mobile Facilitation Vans for Public Convenience
The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has announced that it will roll out its mobile facilitation vans, making its licensing and traffic services more accessible to citizens. The service will be operated on Monday, September 29 and Sunday, October 5, 2025 and will cover prime locations within the capital. The program will make services more accessible to the communities and reduce overcrowding in the fixed licensing centers.
Weekly Schedule of Vans
The vans, which are called PS on Wheels, Van-I, Van-II, and Van-III will be located at different locations daily. For example, on 29 September, services will be provided at Khidmat Markaz F-6, PTCL Nest Building, G-8/4, ANF Academy, H-11/1, and the Traffic Office, Faizabad. The vans will be relocated to various locations, including the Blue Area, Jazz HQ F-8, Islamabad Sports Complex, F-9 Park, Faisal Mosque, Bari Imam House, I-8 Markaz, and Police Line H-11 on alternate days. The Traffic Office Faizabad will be an all-week, round-the-clock service point.
Services Offered to Citizens
The mobile vans offer a wide range of essential services. These involve issuance and renewal of driving licenses, payment of traffic fines and other facilitation. By providing such services at various community sites, ITP will ensure that people do not have to travel far and wait to fulfill their needs.
Public Advisory and Crackdown
The news precedes the tough action by ITP against unlicensed drivers and traffic offenders. The government has encouraged its people to use these mobile van services to update their records and ensure they comply with traffic rules. The facilitation vans will hopefully be of paramount importance in facilitating access before the crackdown, since enforcement will be made stricter.
Contact and Helpline Support
To obtain additional help, the citizens may contact ITP via the special helpline 1915 or the contact numbers on the vans. This will provide direct communication channels for those who need to know or require urgent assistance. The authorities note that the mobile service is an extension of ITP’s overall digital transformation plan, aimed at making governmental services more responsive, transparent, and easily accessible.
Enhancing Accessibility Through Mobility
ITP is meeting the demands of the population that cannot reach central offices conveniently by establishing mobile facilitation vans throughout Islamabad. This mobile outreach program is not just beneficial in better service delivery but also portrays a sense of convenience to the citizens and promotes road safety. It is hoped that more accessibility will bring more compliance to the rules of licensing and traffic laws.
