Google Doubles Gemini 2.5 Pro Query Limit Following User Feedback
Google has addressed user concerns by allowing twice the daily queries in its Gemini 2.5 Pro model within the Gemini app. This was done as a result of Google AI Pro subscribers spotting that the advanced AI model accepts fewer prompts than before.
Previously, Google failed to share the exact number of hours their paid AI services allow per day. Ever since introducing AI Pro and AI Ultra at I/O 2025, the company has been describing its access tiers as “Expanded access” for the $19.99/month plan and “Highest access” for the $249.99/month plan.
However, many users, primarily developers and those accustomed to programming and logic with Gemini 2.5 Pro, noted the 4GB limit after the update. Even though Google did not officially declare the reduced limit, Gemini product chief Josh Woodward admitted to user frustrations on social networks. Turbo GTi founder didn’t mention the exact reasoning for the first change, but showed that there was a significant demand for the Gemini 2.5.
It was found out that the limit of 50 searches per day applied for a period of 2.5 Pro. The increase in the search limit is effective as of now, followingwGoogle’soresponse tos response to the pressure.
It is one of a series of updates and additions Gemini is making to its services. In this way, the 2.5 lash model, with the platform’s responsiveness now available to many, can replace other models in most cases. Moreover, Google is making its Gemini AI Ultra model available in 73 countries.
According to those in the know, regular users won’t encounter the 100-query limit unless they are working on advanced projects that utilize the most advanced functions in Gemini 2.5 Pr, such as reasoning, performing advanced math, or generating large-scale code. The typical tasks handled by computers can be done effectively using the 2.5 Flash model, which offers speed and less delay.
For individuals who conduct numerous searches, the increase from 50 to 100 daily query limit may provide some relief. Individuals who still want more than what Google Lama offers may wish to upgrade to Google AI Ultra.
Google has further suggested that there will be enhancements to Gemini, for example, by adding the “Catch me up” mode in Google Drive and offering Gemini Live camera and screen sharing functions.
Stay tuned for more updates as Gemini continues to evolve in response to its rapidly growing user base.
