NADRA Services Now Available at Police Facilitation Centre Islamabad
In a move aimed at streamlining the process of obtaining essential identity documents, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a new facility at the Police Facilitation Centre in Islamabad. With the launch of the NADRA Centre on July 9, 2025, residents of Islamabad and its surrounding areas can enjoy all NADRA-related services on one site, reducing the need for multiple office visits for documentation.
Services Offered at the Police Facilitation Centre
The Police Facilitation Centre will become an all-in-one roof criterion where residents will access different important documents. The services available entail:
- Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs)
- Child Registration Certificates (B-Form)
- Family Registration Certificates (FRCs)
- Change of marital status
- Cancellation of IDs because of death
- Additional NADRA-related services
Extending NADRA Services Across Islamabad and Surrounding Areas
Previously, NADRA services had been extended to local union councils in areas such as Saidpur, Sihala, Model Town, Koral, and I-10/4 in Islamabad, as well as Murid (Chakwal) and Daulat Nagar (Gujrat). These projects enabled the people to be closer to the necessary documentation services. Through this recent development, NADRA is also increasing access by concentrating services at the Police Facilitation Centre.
Ease of Access to Essential Identity Documents
Since services such as the issuance of CNICs, B-Forms, FRCs, updating of marital status, and cancellation of documents are now available through the Police Facilitation Centre, residents find it convenient to access these services. The plan is to reduce long queues and waiting periods, allowing the process to be faster and more efficient for citizens.
Previous Extension of NADRA Services to Union Councils
Before the introduction of this new facility, NADRA had already expanded its services to the local union councils in the Islamabad area and beyond. The people in districts such as Saidpur, Sihala, and Model Town can now obtain their CNICs, B-Forms, and other documents without having to travel abroad, thereby enhancing accessibility in rural and semi-urban regions.
Increased Access to Documentation Services
NADRA has enhanced the accessibility of essential identity documents by taking them to union councils and recently to the Police Facilitation Centre, which has gone a long way in making it convenient and accessible to citizens in all regions of Islamabad and in the periphery.
It is envisaged that people of Islamabad City and the neighbouring districts will avail themselves of all the services of their identity at the Police Facilitation Centre. The initiative will be a big move on the modernisation and simplification of the process of accessing government services.
