The newly built Emergency Tower, which has been termed a breakthrough in medical provision for the people of Islamabad by Minister Ahsan Iqbal, can attend to around 10,000 patients at a time. The facility features sfacility featuresstems,   trauma care cent re, statecare centre  state-of-the-art surgical theatrestic facilities, and ICC facilities. The grafted emergency block will provide higher-quality emergency care that is efficient and effective.

Public Health Infrastructure Improvement

Minister Iqbal noted that with the setup of this emergency block, the federal government is investing substantially in federal health infrastructure. He said that, as the best tertiary healthcare facility in Islamabad, PIMS is set to be a massive beneficiary of the expansion, thereby lessening the pressure on the healthcare emergency services. The minister once again assured the government of its unwavering effort in enhancing the infrastructure in the Health sector, emphasising quality, accessibility, and emergency preparedness.

Ministerial Inspecting and Guaranteeing

During his visit, Minister Iqbal examined all the departments of the new emergency facility. He confirmed the need to uphold the achievement of projects, particularly in terms of timely delivery. To this extent, his visit was a direct measure to ensure that things were on track to meet the targeted opening. He emphasised the importance of completion to make the service immediately available.

Upon activation, the emergency block will significantly increase the capacity of PIMS in tackling the increasing patient load, decrease waiting time, and provide timely critical care services.
